An English legal practice specialising in UK and international taxation (including VAT) |
This is a specialist tax law practice. We aim to give a more personal, but no less expert, service than larger law firms.
For example we advise on:
We also do associated corporate work.
Our clients include multinationals, small businesses, law firms, accountancy
practices, non-profit organisations, trust companies and business people, in the
UK and all over the world.
The Practice is a member of the
International Tax Specialist Group, an independent network of tax specialists,
able to handle a wide range of tax matters in financial centres around the
world.
We are an English solicitor's practice. Solicitors are governed by strict professional conduct rules, which are designed to protect the client's interests.
We offer skill and experience in interpreting the law. We do not just look at official guidance. This means that you don't just have to take the tax authorities' word for it.
We offer skill and experience in drafting and implementing transactions. This means that transactions are carried out by someone who understands the tax rationale.
We offer skill and experience in handling disputes with HM Revenue & Customs and others. This means that your case is more likely to be handled in a constructive way.
We are knowledgeable and thorough. This means that issues are less likely to be overlooked.
We are friendly. This means it is easier to talk to your adviser.
We offer a personal service. This means we have a better understanding of your needs.
We are commercially aware. This means you are more likely to get a useful, cost-effective outcome.
We aim to conduct a debriefing with every client after the job is completed. This helps us to improve and to make sure that the client is satisfied.
We have been awarded LEXCEL, the Law Society's Practice Management Quality Mark. This means that the practice is soundly run.
We are associated with Chown Dewhurst LLP, an international tax consultancy. This means that we have easy access to additional expertise.
We are very ready to visit clients at their own premises. This is convenient for the client and helps us to get to know the client better.

We have close links with experts in many related fields. These include tax
